According to the Finance Minister of Singapore, the 2018 Budget Statement for the government of Singapore is set to be released on Monday, February 19, and provided in full to the people of Singapore as well as being presented directly to the members of Parliament.
In what has been established as a major annual event that helps to shape and mold the decisions that the country of Singapore makes each and every single year, this budget statement is set to be broadcast live on television as well as on the radio – and will also be live streamed online for those that wish to watch it on their computers or their mobile devices.
The live webcast will be available on Monday, February 19 for those that visit the Singapore Budget Website. The address is www.Singaporebudget.gov.sg, and the HTML 5 web player guarantees that individuals will have the opportunity to watch it on their mobile devices (their phones and tablets) should they choose to do so without any headache or hassle whatsoever.
The Finance Minister of Singapore has always taken into account the people of Singapore when crafting each and every new budget, taking questions from the general public and finding ways to reach out and answer many of the most popular or pressing questions that the citizens of Singapore have.
A pre-budget disclosure “question and answer” session will be held by the Finance Minister and the Finance Ministry, conducted live and in person but also hosted directly on the Facebook page of Reach – the government established feedback unit designed specifically to help citizens better engage and interact with the Singapore government in general.
This session is set up to be hosted live on Thursday, January 4, 2018 and will be open and up and running between 8 PM and 9 PM. Visitors are encouraged to login on Facebook if they aren’t able to make the meeting in person, and will have plenty of opportunity to ask their questions through the built-in Facebook chat and messaging platform and have these questions answered in real time through the live webcast.
Singapore citizens that wish to have their voices heard regarding the upcoming budget but will not have the opportunity to jump on that Facebook session are encouraged to mail in their feedback no later than January 12, 2018. This is when the feedback open session will close, so shoot to have your questions and your comments into the Finance Ministry well before January 12 if you hope to have an answer before the presentation of the actual 2018 budget is conducted.
As always, after the budget has been presented to Parliament, Singapore citizens will have able opportunity to contact their governmental representatives through the same Facebook Reach program that the government has already established. Questions on clarifying the budget issues that have been presented are always welcome, and feedback regarding the direction of the Budget for 2018 is always appreciated as well.
Don’t miss the presentation of the budget on Monday, February 19, 2018.
